These Donations
— Full Terms govern the acceptance, processing and use of
donations made to Invisible Journeys Limited (Company No.
16358532) (“Invisible Journeys”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
Please read them carefully before making a donation. If
you have questions, contact: invisible-journeys [at]

1. Legal status and purpose
Invisible
Journeys Limited is a UK-registered non-profit company limited
by guarantee. It is not (unless explicitly stated) a
registered charity. Donations received are applied to fund
the research, pilot programmes, publication, and dissemination
activities associated with the Delivery Economy Review (DER)
Framework and related public-interest work. Invisible
Journeys Limited operates on a cost-recovery basis; no profit is
distributed to directors or members. For legal definitions
and operational disclosure, please refer to Section 2 (’About
Us’) of the Terms & Conditions.
2. How donations are processed
• Donations are collected via our official fundraising portal
(third-party payment processor).
• Payment information is processed by the payment processor and
is not stored on our website servers. We use reputable payment
providers with PCI-DSS-compliant services.
• Donors will receive an automated email acknowledgement and a
receipt for the donation to the email address supplied at the
time of donation.
• Donations may also
be made via direct bank transfer. Bank account details are
provided individually upon request to verified donors for the
sole purpose of completing a donation. Such information is
shared securely and is not published or stored on the website.
Donor information related to bank transfers is retained only as
required for accounting and legal compliance under UK
regulations.
3. Use of funds and restricted donations
• Donations are used in accordance with Invisible Journeys’
stated research and public-interest objectives.
• If you wish to make a restricted or earmarked donation (for
example, for a specific pilot or region), please indicate this
during donation or contact us in advance at invisible-journeys
[at] refinedcompliance.com. We will confirm acceptance of
restricted gifts and report their use.
• We reserve the right to decline donations that we consider
incompatible with Invisible Journeys’ mission or which raise
ethical or reputational concerns.
4. Refunds and cancellations
• If you made a donation in error, please contact us
immediately. We will assess refund requests on a case-by-case
basis.
• Refunds may be subject to administrative deductions where the
payment processor’s fees are non-refundable; we will state any
such deduction clearly if a refund is made.
• For recurring donations, donors may cancel the recurrence via
their payment provider or by emailing us; we will confirm
cancellation in writing.
5. Data protection and privacy
• We process donor personal data only to the extent necessary to
administer donations, issue receipts, meet legal and accounting
obligations, and provide updates where consent is given.
• Our processing is carried out in accordance with the UK
General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data
Protection Act 2018.
• We will not sell donor data. We may use aggregated, anonymised
donation data for reporting and research purposes.
• For full details, please see our
Privacy Policy.
6. Transparency, reporting & accountability
• Invisible Journeys maintains records of donations and
publishes an annual summary of income and how funds were used in
relation to the DER programme. Where funds are restricted, we
will report on their utilisation in our project reports.
• Donors may request a copy of the relevant financial statements
or project reports by contacting invisible-journeys [at]
refinedcompliance.com. Provision of detailed financial reports
may be subject to data-protection or privacy considerations and
will be considered in line with good governance practice.
7. Conflicts of interest and independence
• Invisible Journeys maintains editorial and methodological
independence. Acceptance of donations does not grant any donor
editorial control or veto over research findings.
• Where a donor relationship could create a perceived or actual
conflict of interest, we will either (a) decline the donation,
(b) accept it on a restricted basis with safeguards, or (c)
fully disclose the relationship in relevant reports and on
request.
8. Tax relief and Gift Aid
• Unless explicitly stated, Invisible Journeys is not a
registered charity, and donations are therefore not eligible for
Gift Aid. If this status changes, we will update these Terms and
inform donors.
• Donors should consult their tax advisers regarding any tax
treatment of donations.
9. Intellectual property and attribution
• Research
outputs funded by donations remain the intellectual property of
the author(s) and/or Invisible Journeys Limited as defined in
the site’s
Terms & Conditions, Section 4 – Intellectual Property.
•
Donors do not acquire any intellectual property or licensing
rights by making a donation.
• Where
donors fund specific research outputs, attribution and
acknowledgements will be handled transparently and in agreement
with the donor.
10. Contact, complaints and dispute resolution
• For donation queries or complaints, email: invisible-journeys
[at] refinedcompliance.com. We aim to acknowledge receipt of
complaints within five working days and to resolve matters
promptly.
• If dissatisfied with our response, donors may pursue
independent dispute resolution or raise the matter with the
relevant regulatory bodies.
11. Amendment and termination
• Invisible Journeys reserves the right to amend these Terms at
any time. Material changes will be notified on this page and,
where appropriate, directly to donors.
• The laws of England and Wales govern these Terms.
